Colorado Gov. Hickenlooper details $22.1 million in requests to improve child protection, By Christopher N. Osher and Jennifer Brown, February 27, 2013, Denver Post: “Colorado lacks sufficient data to know whether there are enough child protection workers in the state, and only three counties have invested in mobile technology that would make those workers more efficient, according to $22.1 million in budget requests from Gov. John Hickenlooper. The state also needs a child abuse hotline in part because confusion exists in rural areas over how to handle such calls after hours, the documents show.
